Hiring & Training Painters- How Nolan Painting Trains & Hires a Team.
A question we are asked often by a potential customer who wants to hire Nolan Painting is “Do you use contractors or employees?” While many painting companies locally and nationally do hire this way to keep their costs down, we at Nolan Painting never use subcontractors. It is considered one of our main hiring practices in our company that we have used since our start back in 1979.
Our team is our family. They are our top priority. That is why those who work at Nolan Painting receive great pay, top benefits including paid time off, health insurance and 401k contributions as well as a bonus program. Offering these incentives, as well as opportunity for rapid advancement, ensures happy, healthy employees that in turn provide the best services to our customers.
How we train at Nolan Painting
We use a mix of on-the-job training with our online training program. Skills are broken down into easy to learn modules. Employees go through the modules and are promoted as they reach the next level. In less than one year, an individual can progress though the apprenticeship program and become a professional painter.
Apprentices will receive multiple raises and promotions in their first year.
Volunteer & Outside of the Workplace
Employees at Nolan Painting have a lot of opportunities to volunteer in the community and will receive paid time off for their dedication. Employees are also encouraged to participate in company sponsored events including family events such as the zoo or waterpark, sporting events such as a Phillies or 76ers game, and other adventures like indoor skydiving and white water rafting through our Nolan Adventures program.
