Main Line Painting Contractor Helps Restore its Friend and Neighbor, The Radnor Historical Society

Nolan Painting is more than just a painting contractor — we are an active member in our community. We actively seek out opportunities by asking clients and friends in the community, “if you ever have anything you want us to sponsor/donate, please let us know.” We know that volunteering our efforts and labor will go a long way in the communities we service. Ben Franklin once described part of his secret to success as “doing well by doing good.” More than ever, small businesses are seeing the benefits of positive “corporate citizenship”. By investing time, talent, labor and service, businesses can play a significant role in the betterment of their community, form a positive company culture, and, yes…do well.

In April, we donated our painting services to The Radnor Historical Society. Jim Falk, estimator of Nolan Painting, met the President of the Society, Ted Pollard, two years ago at the Wayne Jazz Festival, an event Nolan Painting has been sponsoring for years. They got to talking and Pollard wound up hiring us to paint his home in Wayne. Committed to building the relationship and supporting its Main Line community, Falk offered to volunteer its painting services to The Radnor Historical Society, an organization dedicated to preserve, protect, present, and promote the history of The Main Line’s Radnor Township.

Nolan Painting donated a total of $3,500 on labor and materials to complete the work. The project included painting the Society’s Finley House’s front porch, ceiling, columns and back porch. During the process, Nolan had to practice adhering to the lead laws since the house was built before 1978.
